Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) is one of the most serious diseases globally. MR imaging plays a key role in the diagnosis, treatment decision, and the outcome prediction in AIS. It’s essential to know the clinical indications and the MR markers in assessment of AIS. This presentation will include several parts focusing on the above aspects:
1. clinical indications of MRI in AIS (early diagnosis, evaluation of penumbra, treatment decision, outcome prediction, et al)
2. cases-based AIS assessment illustrating application values of MR techniques
3. important MR markers in AIS evaluation
4. some new developed MR techniques in AIS assessment
