Come participate in the ISMRM Artifact Game Show! Learn about common MR artifacts and how to avoid them in a light-hearted game show setting. Contestants will participate in a variety of games to learn about artifacts, and then experts will provide more information. If you’re in the room, you have the chance to play! Come for the artifacts, stay for the fun and prizes!

Overview

This course addresses a skill-sets gap in identifying and debugging the sources of artifacts in MRI. A wide variety of artifacts will be presented by members of the ISMRM community with input from experts. This course provides an interactive means for rapidly identifying effects and cause of image artifacts.

Target Audience

This course has been designed for trainees, MRI technologists, and practicing radiologists who may benefit from the ability to rapidly identify and eliminate common and uncommon artifacts encountered in clinical practice.

Educational Objectives

As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:-Classify and evaluate principal categories of artifacts;-Identify sources of commonly encountered artifacts and implement methods to avoid them; and-Recommend further tests for problem solving and troubleshooting artifacts.
