Synopsis

This course demonstrates the possibilities of preclinical imaging systems in camparison to Human MRI systems. It shows the advantage of ultra high field of certain applications, such as X-Nuclei Imaging (e.g. 23Na, 19F) Spectroscopy, Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer (CEST) and Magnetization Transfer Imaging (MTC), fMRI, SWI and QSM and underlines the gradient and RF-coil technology used in preclinical systems. It shows the possibilities of magnetical particle imaging and preclinical PET/MR.
