Synopsis

This presentation will provide an overview of current and emerging molecular imaging tools for clinical and basic scientific applications.

Overview

This educational talk will review current techniques for detecting molecules and cells within the body with an emphasis on emerging clinical and basic scientific applications of MRI. Topics will include 1) Unmet diagnostic and theransostic needs in a range of organs including the liver and kidney, 2) Endogenous and exogenous probes in the body and their strengths and challenges in preclinical and clinical imaging, 3) Challenges to detection and examples of successful emerging techniques.
