Synopsis

This session discusses opportunities to take full advantage of current multiparametric prostate MRI to guide individual management in multiple clinical scenarios that affect prostate cancer patients.

Moving with the times: maximizing prostate MRI clinical utility and relevance

Prostate MRI has now been around for several decades, and while certainly its use and acceptance has skyrocketed in recent years, its primary roles have also evolved. The initial focus of prostate MRI was on zonal anatomy delineation and staging, but there are now opportunities to take full advantage of current multiparametric MRI sequences to guide individual patient management in multiple clinical scenarios. In this session, we will discuss the most common clinical needs that can be met through information derived from MRI, together with tips for optimizing sequence selection, acquisition and imaging interpretation in each context.
